Eckhart Tolle tells us that "the root cause of all our suffering is identification with our thoughts, the "stories" that are continuously running through our minds".

This is helpful as we look at Building the Be-Loved Community and Creating a World that Works for All, for it's clear that the starting place is within ourselves. The "stories" we tell may come from parents, friends, family, our culture and have "brainwashed' us into believing and arguing for our own limitation. We may wish for a world that works for all but how much of our energy is focused on what's wrong with the world, what's wrong with ourselves or even what's wrong with God. Much of this stems from old stories that tell us there is virtue in suffering.

Ernest Holmes tells us, “The world is beginning to realize that it has learned all it should through suffering and pain. Surely there can be no intelligence in the Universe that wishes man to be sick, suffer pain, be unhappy and end in oblivion.” Amen to that!

If you want to change your life start thinking about and focusing on and talking about what you DO want in your life.  Turn your back, forever, on what you don’t want.  At the same time, focus on and talk about what you DO want for other people.  Turn your back, forever, on selfish desires, judgment of others, petty thinking about others.  Allow yourself to wish for all others just what you want for yourself -- peace, joy, happiness, health, abundance.

Pain is guaranteed; suffering is optional.  If you don’t want to suffer, don’t dwell upon the things that you suffer over. If you want to be joyful, dwell on things that feel joyful to you.  If you want to be useful, dwell on the things you can do rather than the things you can’t.  If you want to be happy, dwell on the things that bring all people happiness.  Yes, we have learned all we need to, all we can, learn from suffering.  The time to give it up is NOW!  In so doing, we change everyone’s life.

Today's affirmation:  Today I look toward my good.  I look toward my happiness.  I look toward my joy and purpose. I do not suffer; I live in freedom!

    It's All about Trust!

“We believe the ultimate goal of life is the complete emancipation from all discord of every nature and that it is sure to be attained by all.” - Ernest Holmes.

In other words,  a World that works for everyone. We do not need to know how we only need to know it will occur. We must have the intelligence to trust and know the difference and the faith to know it must occur. There is a difference between a goal and a vision, with a goal we have a pre-known pathway of obtaining it, with a vision, we have an unknown that demands we maintain a steadfast belief in the outcome and the process (everything takes us there) in order to attain demonstration.

When we place before us a vision of that which harms no one and serves all, and stand steadfast in maintaining that vision as something that must become a reality, when we secure it with a faith as strong as the faith we have that the sun must rise in the morning, then everything required to bring it into our experience is attracted to us and everything unlike it is dissipated.  This is true for everything from the micro of our own health, wealth, creative expression and loving relationships to a “world that works for everyone.”

It is time for all of us to recognize that what we envision, “a world that works for all,” is not particular to our faith or any of us as individuals; that it is in fact the desire of the super majority, and in so being our issue does not have to be, to convince others to want it, our job, is to convince ourselves, and in so doing model the spiritual prototype/ mental equivalent and transform the collective consciousness of the world. It is up to us to live the vision, trust the process and be tenacious in our spiritual practice and our behavior so that it becomes a reality in the world.

What can you envision being, having or doing that helps create a world that works for all?
