Ever wonder how to begin your own genealogy search? Learn from Rolland Doerfer about how his effort began and the directions it took him.

Rolland will begin with explaining the value of doing a genealogy and at least two different kinds of ‘trees.’ His discussion will center on a narrative style. He will go into why and how he began a genealogy, and the directions it took him during the process and after its completion. A large chart he constructed to illustrate the manuscript of the tree will be displayed. Rolland will also touch on describing writing accomplishments that grew out of his genealogy research.

There will be time for questions and a few tips for anyone who may want to embark on such an effort or know anyone who is, and maybe even time for anyone who has some of their own genealogical information, written or hearsay.

Join us on February 24 for this special presentation. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. and concludes by 1:00. Refreshments will be provided. Donations of $8.00 per person are requested for the workshop. Register online or on the signup sheet in the Fellowship Hall.
